Established in 2006, Pharmaceutical Research and Development Center (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Center’) is a pharmaceutical research and development institution focuses on research of biotech drug, modern Chinese medicine and health food. The Center currently has more than 40 research & development staff, the advanced research & development equipments and the Pilot Plant complies with GMP certification standard. Ongoing research projects cover short-term, medium-term and long-term projects, among which, the first class national new drug — Human Avian Influenza H5N1 Inactivated Influenza Virus Vaccines (Vero cell) has been awarded the approval document for drug clinical trial by China Food and Drug Administration, and currently is in the phase I clinical trial; the Microcarrier Rabies Vaccine project has completed all preclinical studies and is declaring and applying for the approval document for drug clinical trial; MDCK Cell Seasonal Influenza Vaccine project and Human Diploid Cell Rabies Vaccine project are in the research & development process, and also have been successively received ‘Adaptation Methods for Influenza Virus Vaccine Strains on Vero Cell’
